How The Mighty Fall

How The Mighty Fall

Published by HarperCollins

True success has been realized only when we’re able to identify what it takes to duplicate victories.  This workshop facilitates reflection and helps identify which specific strengths have led to your teams’ successes.  Active reflection is required regularly to avoid becoming complacent.

This is a discussion based workshop best run with a team who has worked together through some successes and failures.

Exercise Overview

1 Lecture (10 minutes)   |   “Five Stages of Decline”

A recap of the article, as well as a walk through of the five stages of decline, as outlined in How the Mighty Fall.  This creates a backdrop for the following exercises.

2 Group Discussion (15 minutes)  |  “Off the Table”

There are certain elements of your brand that forever linked to you.  We want to identify what those are before we start changing anything.

3 Discussion & Exercise (15 minutes)   |   “Insightful Humility”

It’s important to understand WHY you realized the success you did.  By asking a series of penetrating questions, we quickly get to the cause. (So we can replicate it)

4 Wrap Up (5 minutes)   |  “Tack the Sails”

Short term growth never superceeds long term value.  A brief discussion on leadership and how to maximize all market changes by clearly understanding your strengths and capabilities.

Key Deliverables

Staff members completing this workshop will better understand their own lack of true intel on why they were successful in the past, and will be encouraged to think deeper about those topics.  Doing so will help them duplicate successes in the future, and avoid the five pitfalls of successful organizations.
