Who Will Cry When You Die?

Who Will Cry When You Die?

Published by HarperCollins

“The Big Life” is a workshop designed to connect your team members to their longer-term goals, particularly pertaining to their personal “legacy”.  Focusing on the combination of the accomplishments and the values they want to be remembered for allows your team members to focus on longer term gain and not get too caught up in politics or unimportant details.

Key Deliverables

Upon completion of this workshop, your team members will be more aware of (and focused on) the bigger picture of what they want their lives to mean.  Typical effects include a cleaner, more singular focus on the longer term objectives of the company and individual, and the values with which they want to be accomplished.  This workshop increases productivity, efficiency and employee engagement.

Exercise Overview

1 Lecture (10 minutes)   |   “Enjoy Today”

A recap of the article and brief discussion on why today is a great day to start creating a legacy.

2 Team Activity & Discussion (25 minutes)  |   “Learn from the Past”

This exercise allows your team members to gain closure on some of the “failures” they’ve had in the past.  Only by letting go of the emotions that the experiences have created, and learning to find value in all setbacks can one truly focus on creating a great life

3 Solo Activity (20 minutes)   |    “Plan for the Future”

In this exercise, each team member begins building a “legacy statement”.

4 Final Thoughts (5 minutes)  |  “The Nature of Time”

This quick wrap up provides an easily used and enjoyable relaxation technique for disengaging from the stresses of reality.

This workshop requires that your team members bring their personal calendar, as well as pen and paper for completing the exercises.
